London asbestos surveys from £250

Request a written quote for your property and planned work.

Our asbestos surveys start from £250. The final price depends on the survey type, property size and layout, access, areas included and any sampling or laboratory analysis required. VAT is not currently applicable to Primelinks Solutions Ltd. Where the £250 service price is confirmed in your quotation, £250 is the total customer price. Your quotation will confirm the survey scope, inclusions and any separately agreed work before you book.

What affects the cost of an asbestos survey?

  • Survey type: a management survey, refurbishment survey and demolition survey have different levels of investigation.
  • Property size and complexity: larger buildings, multiple floors, outbuildings and mixed-use premises can require more inspection time.
  • Survey scope: the number of rooms, communal areas, plant rooms, service voids and other areas included affects the work involved.
  • Access: restricted roof spaces, locked rooms, occupied areas or difficult-to-reach building fabric can affect planning and time on site.
  • Sampling: suspected materials may require samples for laboratory analysis. The number and type of samples can affect the quotation.
  • Project requirements: refurbishment and demolition work may require a more intrusive survey of the areas that will be disturbed.

Management, refurbishment and demolition survey pricing

Management survey

A management survey is generally intended to help manage asbestos during normal occupation and routine maintenance. The quotation depends on the size, use and accessibility of the premises and the areas included in scope.

Refurbishment survey

Where planned work will disturb the building fabric, the investigation needs to cover the areas affected by that work. The scope may include walls, ceilings, floors, service routes or other concealed areas, so the quotation depends heavily on the project.

Demolition survey

Demolition surveys are more intrusive and are designed around the parts of a building that will be demolished or stripped out. Building size, access, complexity and the extent of intrusive investigation all affect cost.

What information helps us prepare a quote?

For a more accurate quotation, send:

  • the full property address and postcode;
  • property type and approximate size;
  • number of floors or separate units;
  • current use of the building;
  • the type of survey you believe is required, if known;
  • details or drawings for planned refurbishment or demolition work;
  • any previous asbestos survey or register that may be relevant.

Unsure which survey to request? Send the property address, approximate size and a description of any planned work. We can discuss the scope before preparing your quote.

If your enquiry concerns a specific material, see our sampling information and laboratory testing information.

What should you check before accepting a quote?

Ask for a written breakdown so you can compare quotations for the same work. Confirm:

  • Which rooms, outbuildings and shared areas are included, and any exclusions.
  • Whether sampling and laboratory analysis are included, and how additional samples would be charged.
  • Whether travel, parking or access costs apply and are included in the quoted total.
  • What report documents you will receive and the expected delivery timescale.
  • How any additional work or return visits would be agreed and priced.

For help understanding the deliverables, read our guide to asbestos survey reports.

Does the cheapest survey always make sense?

No. The important point is that the survey scope matches the purpose. A lower-cost management survey may not be suitable where intrusive refurbishment is planned, while a broad demolition-style investigation may be unnecessary for ordinary occupation. Clear scope helps avoid paying for the wrong type of survey or discovering later that important areas were not covered.

Frequently asked questions

Can you give a price without the property details?

A reliable quotation normally needs at least the address, property type, approximate size and survey purpose. Complex or commercial sites may need additional information.

Does sampling increase the price?

It can. Where suspected materials need laboratory analysis, the number and type of samples may affect the final quotation.

Is a refurbishment survey always more expensive?

Not necessarily. Cost depends on the size and scope of the affected areas. A focused refurbishment survey for a small project can differ significantly from a whole-building intrusive survey.

Do you cover all London boroughs?

We welcome enquiries across all 32 London boroughs and the City of London. See our London service areas and provide the full postcode so availability can be confirmed.

Getting a property-specific quotation is straightforward:

  1. Send the property details: address, postcode, property type and approximate size.
  2. Tell us why the survey is needed: normal management, purchase, refurbishment, demolition or another planned activity.
  3. Confirm access and planned works: share drawings, photographs or previous asbestos information if available.

We review the information and confirm the recommended survey scope, price and current availability before booking. If anything could materially change the quotation, such as inaccessible areas, additional buildings or a change in the planned works, it should be agreed before extra work is carried out.
